Elder Defense is a personal-defense course designed to give elders information on specific things they can do to be safer in their homes, cars and places they frequent. The course teaches specific exercise and techniques to improve awareness—your best tool for personal safety. The course teaches effective techniques to help reduce fear and anxiety. Specific scenarios are discussed to help elders make personal decisions about security enhancement devices, and how to grow a team of people all committed to improving security and safety within their community. Our instructors go through a certification process that can last upwards of four years before being approved to teach this course - we are very aware of the sensitive nature of this type of class and respect that. It is always the student’s choice to take part in, or sit out, any part of the training. Our goal is to ensure that you get home safely to those that love you and need you back.
